The Bing News App is a news reading App that comes pre-installed with Windows 8. The App integrates with the Windows 8 design principals such as horizontal browsing and the new modern look and feel, the result is a magazine like experience with a bold and clean design approach for everyday news reading.

The home pano starts off with a hero story , as users swipe towards the right they get to see more stories that are seperated in category clusters. Users can also customized this home pano and add topics or bookmark sources for quick access.
Trending topics
Trending topics is a group of topics that are selected by our editorial team. Stories for these topics are hand picked and curated by our editors, this type of page is especially useful for events that only happens in a certain period of time such as elections or sports events.
Article
Our article pages reflects the magazine like design and experience in our home pano and topics designs. The page is also dynamic and adjusts itself in terms of layout to fit with multiple types of article content.
Motion study
This motion study is an exersice to explore how transitions can be added to the app. We played with different time durations for each transition and also explored the use of layering and parallax techniques.
